the evaporator in a refrigeration system

Hello, young readers! This time around we will be discussing a pretty amazing device: your air conditioning evaporator and how it relates to things like refrigerators. A device that whilst small plays a huge role in keeping us comfortable and our food from rotting.

Question: Do you ever wonder why your home is cool on a hot day? But your air conditioner has the evaporator to blame! The evaporator (the part that takes heat out of the air in your home and makes it cooler) is a unique component This will keep you and your home at the same relative humidity. If it were not for that evaporator, your air conditioner wouldn’t be able to cool down the inside of your house during those hot summer days. You know when its so hot outside that you walk into a room and it feels cooler than the one before? And we have the evaporator to thank for all of that work!

The science behind the refrigeration system's evaporator

So with this I am back on my topic how does the evaporator work. The evaporator is a major part of the system and works on two important phenomena known as evaporation & condensation. When a liquid changes into gas, it is called evaporation and when the same gas turns back to liquid, then this process Is commonly known as condensation. It’s like magic! The second law tells us that when the refrigerant (that special liquid in your AC or fridge) evaporates inside the evaporator, it absorbs heat from air/food. This is the kind of stuff that freezes! This refrigerant then moves to a different part known as the condenser, where it starts getting cold again, and changes back into a liquid. The loop makes this process ongoing. A circle of air to keep your house or food the temperature you want while it is nice and cold,
